A Letter From Our Chief Products Officer

During my 22 years Active Duty and 4 years as a Government Servant for the Air Force, my mantra was "Leave it better than you found it."  Being the Chief Products Officer for Combat Bound allows me the opportunity to keep developing cutting edge equipment for the warfighter.

The RSCU is one such piece of equipment.  Grown out of the combat experiences of Combat Bound's founder, Emil Reynolds, in the caves of Afghanistan and the urban fighting in Iraq, the RSCU fills the need of rapid casualty evacuation.  Emil found the commonly deployed casualty stretcher almost all but useless in the underground warfare because it was too rigid.  He wanted a casualty evacuation device that would allow the user to evacuate the casualty over any type of terrain around tight corners while still allowing for the user's hands to be free to bring weapons to bear or to help pull them and the casualty away from immediate danger.

Once safe, the RSCU's frame will enable the user to safely secure the casualty, or equipment, to the RSCU and use it as a travois system.  This increased versatility allows the RSCU to be used anywhere on the battlefield.

Like most other equipment developed for military use, first responders and outdoor enthusiasts can use the RSCU in many different circumstances.  The compact size allows the RSCU to be stored in rescue vehicles, trucks, cars, and backpacks without taking up too much space or adding unnecessary weight.  The RSCU would work well in a mass casualty event to evacuate injured people to a triage area quickly.  It can also find many uses for hunters or backpackers from being used to haul firewood, ground cover for a sleeping bag, or even to help drag out a trophy deer.

Along with other Combat Bound products, the RSCU is a great tool with a lot of benefits in its various uses.  I'm proud to be a part of a great company delivering such products to warfighters, first responders, and outdoor enthusiasts.
